OUR MISSION

FEMME HOUSE creates opportunities for women, gender-expansive, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ creatives in the technical and behind the scenes areas of music. We are developing the future producers, mixers, engineers, DJs, artists, and executives of the industry by providing education and scholarships, cultivating community, furthering visual representation, and leveraging our platform to amplify the voices of marginalized communities.
OUR PROGRAMMING
Since launching in 2019, FEMME HOUSE has expanded our programming to include free workshops on everything from music production to DJing, specialized online coursework on studio techniques, a weekly radio show on SiriusXM highlighting the best of dance music, a bi-yearly scholarship program for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creators, and a robust online platform featuring the foremost female and gender-expansive talent. By tearing down as many barriers to entry as possible, we are affecting change on a systemic, industry-wide level.

Since our founding, we’ve:

• innovated the concert-going experience with 12-city THE FEMME HOUSE TAKEOVER TOUR, offering free in-person production workshops supported by Ableton focused on beginner level studio techniques during the day, giving away a free Roland keyboard in each city, and producing an epic club party highlighting an all-female / non-binary lineup

• produced a weekly radio show on SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution resulting in almost a hundred hours of music by non-male DJs released into the universe

• created She Is The Producer—a free ,yearly production bootcamp in partnership with Alicia Keys’ + Ann Mincieli’s She Is The Music and Emily Lazar’s We Are Moving The Needle that has educated over 6,000 individuals from over 1,400 cities in 77 countries worldwide

• launched an online academy featuring comprehensive online courses on music production taken by over 6,000 individuals

• committed to diversifying the biggest live stream and festival stages with partners like Insomniac, EDC Las Vegas, Hulaween, Desert Hearts and Bandsintown

• partnered with thought-leaders at NAMM and SXSW leveraging our relationships with the foremost gear companies in music like Ableton, Moog, Ableton, Roland, Native Instruments, Gibson, and more
