Behind the Track: Expression with Baby Weight
An unfiltered celebration of queer euphoria, Baby Weight’s latest track ‘Expression’ (slated for a June 12 release) sees her tap into her most liberated self. Originally crafted from a sample pack created by FEMMY winner for Best Record Label, HE.SHE.THEY during Pride, the track dials into a raw, UK-leaning percussive energy that’s all rhythm, muscle, and attitude. It's club music at its most alive - freewheeling, defiant, and rooted in self-love. This very special Backstage Pass will feature a track production walkthrough, with a look into the song’s meaning, inspiration, and artwork from the artist herself, along with HE.SHE.THEY’s executives about the importance of queer art as revolution.

Pass the Mic Artist Roundtable: Amplifying Trans Artists

In solidarity this PRIDE month, FEMME HOUSE is hosting a virtual artist roundtable centering trans and non-binary artists, featuring Baby Weight, Ryussi, Bored Lord, and more.

Backstage Pass: Zeena Coda
To honor the contributions of Asian American artists during AAPI Heritage Month, we teamed up with Asian American Collective. Asian American Collective is the brainchild of co-founders Grace Lee, Caroline Yim, and Zeena Koda. As music industry vets and first-generation Asian Americans, the trio was passionate about creating and cultivating a true community for Asian Americans in music, entertainment, and creative spaces. Launched in January 2020, AAC has focused on building meaningful connections through mentorship and being a vocal presence through activism and education. In a space that has historically lacked Asian representation, the founders bonded over the need to build community and unity. AAC is focused on building a strong community base through professional development and mentoring opportunities, as well as through building personal 1:1 relationships. The group has developed a strong cultural presence and focuses support on moving the Asian American creative community forward. Join us as we chat with Zeena Koda, the co-founder of Asian American Collective and a marketing executive with experience across brand, music and tech.
